The Dayton community has proven itself to be resilient and strong. Even in difficult times, the city has bounced back and rejuvenated itself through the support and conviction of its residents. The leaders of Key-Ads and Liberty Savings Bank truly feel that it is Dayton’s residents that give it the strength and viability to be a truly great city.

Nicholas L. Keyes Jr. Vice President of Key-Ads, says “I am tired of hearing nothing but doom and gloom.  It starts to mess with your psyche.  It seems we have a constant stream of negativity swirling around our great region, but the true underlying emotions are quite different. As I talk with family, friends, and various businesses throughout the Dayton area, it is easy to see the pride we all share and optimism for what is to come.”

Ryan Powell, Chief Administrative Officer for Liberty Savings Bank, goes on to say “My family is very proud to be members of the Dayton community for more than 60 years. The pride that we take in this community is echoed by family and friends. Dayton has shown its resilience over the years, overcoming adversity and economic crisis. And through it all, residents remain committed to the success of our great city.”

Keyes sums it up by saying “The Dayton area is a wonderful place to live and work.  We have a very strong community supported by many local businesses.  Yes, the reality is there are people and businesses that have moved out of our region which is unfortunate.  However, we need to remember and be energized by the fact that there are thousands of people and businesses that make a conscious decision to stay in Dayton every day.”

About Key-Ads

Key-Ads, Inc. is a family owned and operated outdoor advertising company founded in 1955 by Edward

 W. Keyes.

After serving in World War II, Ed returned to his hometown of Dayton, Ohio and began a career in sales. It was in his sales/management position in the field of outdoor advertising, that he found his calling. At the age of forty, with a wife and six children, Ed struck out on his own and founded Key-Ads.   Building and operating the new 8-sheet poster panel business in the market over the next 25 years (and having two more children) kept the Keyes family very busy!

Ed’s son Nicholas joined the business and then purchased the company in 1979.  Key-Ads has since expanded through growth and several acquisitions to provide 8-Sheets, 30-Sheets, Bulletins, and the new digital Dayton Gateway Feature.  Key-Ads operates in 20+ counties in Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky.

With the help of an experienced, dedicated staff, Nicholas L. Keyes, President, is working to take the family business into the next Keyes generation, being joined now by his three sons: Nick Jr., Stephen, and Joe.

About Liberty Savings Bank

Liberty Savings Bank, F.S.B., was founded in 1889 in
Highland County, Ohio, when a group of businessmen pooled their funds to create the Lynchburg Building and Loan Association.  The Association was formed to help meet the community’s demand for home ownership, and over the years several business mergers helped to strengthen this small, rural bank.

The Powell family acquired the company in September, 1984, renaming it Liberty Savings Bank, a Federal Savings Bank.  With this federal thrift charter, Liberty gained more flexibility in the products and services it was able to offer. At that time, the Bank had three small branches in Highland and Clinton Counties, in rural southwestern Ohio.  In 1991, The Powell’s expanded the Bank’s presence to the Dayton community with 14 offices now in the Dayton Metro area.

From its modest beginnings well over a century ago, Liberty Savings Bank has grown into a tremendously successful financial institution as a result of superior banking products and a commitment to quality customer service.  The future continues to look bright with even greater expectations of growth and excellence.
